It's still fairly early in the fall season for many of the teams in action, but its been a rather successful start thus far with a 38-19-3 record overall that includes three boys sides that are unbeaten at least four games into their season and another that is 5-1-0. Here's a quick look at the early stages of action in the RCL.
Douglas Kelly, 2008, of Guam’s ZES Football Club, has gotten to know the Spokane Sounders and the Spokane Shadow programs pretty well these past four months. Kelly’s steady development on the island of Guam led his club coaches, Jonahan Romero and Jason Cunliffe, who are also members of Guam’s national team, to pursue some additional opportunities for the player on the west coast.

Within Spokane Sounders and SSC Shadow we are asking for our players to NOT do that. We are asking them to build, to connect, and to keep possession. Well... why? Why are we building of the back?
Tremendous Tourney Success Highlights Start of 2018-19 Season
The heart of the summer tournament calendar got under way over the past two weekends, and with that the Spokane Sounders got things off to a fantastic start at premier tournaments such as the Crossfire Challenge and Davis Legacy Cup. The 2001 Rave Girls and the 2003 Rave Boys highlighted outstanding efforts from several teams at the two events with championship performances.
Shadow U23s Headed to EPLWA Semifinals After Winning Columbia Division
Needing two points in the final weekend of the regular season, the Spokane Shadow U23s took to the road for a pair of games in the Evergreen Premier League and claimed the Columbia Division title with a 3-1 victory in Yakima Saturday. The Shadow U23s will travel to Kent Saturday for a Semifinal meeting with Seattle Stars.
Spokane SC Shadow announced that MultiCare Rockwood Clinic is continuing as an official provider of sports medicine and orthopedic services for the club such as Athletic Training, Orthopedics, Primary Care Sports Medicine, Sports Physical Therapy, and Education in addition to providing on-site medical service for the Spokane Shadow First Teams.
The new season is under way! After a successful series of tryouts and initial team meetings throughout the month of May, the club and teams were looking forward to getting onto the pitch for some games. Last Saturday's RCL Jamboree did just that in a fun way, allowing the kids to get in some friendly contests with their coaches having the ability to coach them right from the field.
Devin Hauenstein and Isaiah Damschen were recognized this spring as the Offensive and Defensive MVPs for the Greater Spokane League, leading a contingent of 18 other players that were recognized by the GSL, GNL and NEA.
Four Spokane Sounders and Spokane Shadow teams claimed State Cup and President's Cup championships over the past month, wrapping up an incredible 2017-18 season in Washington Youth Soccer that saw the club's teams earn 11 league championships along with nine other semifinal appearances or top two league finishes in RCL or FWRL.
